A south Georgia woman's fight to save her River and her way of life
The story of a South Georgia country family and one woman's love for her river that was being destroyed by pollution from a poultry processing plant. She thought she had no power to change the tragedy that was happening but through her life lessons as she grew, she became aware that knowledge is power. She and her sister gained the knowledge necessary to fight for their beloved black water river. The story follows her family from its roots, then throughout her life to a point where she must let her heritage die or stand against the major industry in her small county, to try to save it.
