Professor Farronato has crafted a masterpiece with this book, and I strongly recommend this book to all family historians and genealogists alike who find themselves researching this beautiful region. From the history, to the geography, the significance of names, to his detailed family trees for the cognomi and historical photographs of families and social events - this is by far, my best resource. And for those with "familiar" cognomi of this region (Reginato, Filippin, Andeatta, etc. ) , he gives their history, and sorts in an elegant and meaningful way, to clarify relationships. I especially enjoyed his annotations to the trees regarding emigation - tremendously useful for South Americans, Americans, Australians. 1010 recommend, this will become your favorite resource, also.
