Descrizione16RFID tag location in a 3D environment isinvestigated. The location of the tag with unknowncoordinates can be estimated with certain accuracy.However, accuracy can be improved using the knowledgebased on measurement of additional reference tagswith known location. This book studies themathematical formulation and practical realization oflocation sensing using RFID tags.Deviating from the standard use of RFID technologywhich employs one tag reader to identify presence oftag, multiple tag reader with known location are usedto estimate the physical location of an individualtag, with/without the help of few reference tag withknown location. Additionally, concept oftrilateration has also been extended for tracking thetag on unknown location without use of referencetags. It was demonstrated that both approaches wereproved to be cost-effective technique and estimationof the location of a specific tag has been achievewith sufficient accuracy.
