Essential to the Virginia researcher, this celebrated book consists of an alphabetical surname index to all works published prior to 1930 containing genealogies of Virginia families. In all, there are about 6,000 family names with more than 18,000 references, each keyed to the work containing the pedigree-whether book, magazine, lineage paper, or newspaper.
