Finding Jedidiah is a story caught somewhere between the twilight of one's childhood misgivings and the true to life backdrop of the Weyburn Souris Valley. Far from being based on any fact, such a tale is a testament to some of the more popular folklore of local patrons of this remarkable place. My hope for the reader is two-fold: for those individuals that have found themselves entertaining their imaginations as the result of this facility's bigger-than-life persona, I hope to bend the spotlight to some of the mysterious locations that I enjoyed in my own childhood. Secondly, as an inspiration to those who have dared to question the world's conventional wisdom and its many pitfalls in remembering a time not so long ago when the world's sciences were still in their infancy.
