«Il resoconto dell' evento che prese luogo a Loudun nel XVII secolo; una "possessione demoniaca". Sicuramente uno dei capolavori di Huxley, da leggere possibilmente in lingua, scritto in maniera ironica e piacevole. Iconoclasta fino alla fine, Huxley è riuscito a mostrare tutto il suo talento con questo lavoro. »
