Amalgam

David Loti is a high-energy dreamer with a guitar, a drum set, a keyboard, and a microphone. He grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and co-fronted comedy rock band A Soup Named Stew (opening for such acts as Puddle of Mudd, Lyfe Jennings, Josh Turner, and The Hanks) for over four years before relocating to Vancouver, BC to work on a Master of Divinity degree at Regent College. As a solo act Loti switches between playing guitar and playing drums and keyboard simultaneously. He has opened for and performed with national acts Matt & Kim, Eric Peters, Glenn Kaiser, and Jonny Diaz. His third solo record Amalgam features a mixture of Loti's drum and keyboard-driven and guitar-driven rock songs. Amalgam should resonate with fans of Ben Folds, Counting Crows, Matt & Kim, R.E.M., and They Might Be Giants.
